Columbus and His Blood Moon Voyage

Next week the celebrations of Columbus Day and the Feast of Tabernacles both occur on the same day, October 14, reminding us of the launching of Christopher Columbus’s second voyage to the New World, on the same day as the Second Blood Moon of the 1493-1494 Tetrad, which occurred on the Feast of Tabernacles.
It was on his second voyage that Columbus had been given the mission and resources to create a Christian society in the New World. The Native American people he found were descendants of ancient Siberian immigrants, but had lived in isolation from the rest of mankind for about three thousand years. Nevertheless, their pyramids, their religions, and their culture still contained the stamp of their origins with the rest of mankind in ancient Babylon. Unfortunately, they also retained some of the worst pagan practices of Babylonian Religions, as the Aztecs demonstrated by sacrificing 50,000 human victims every year.

Our study of history shows that human sacrifice is a flash point for God’s judgment, and we believe that the Aztec, Inca and other Native American civilizations were judged and destroyed by God through the technology and diseases of the Europeans. Sadly, the Conquistadors enslaved the survivors and forced them to “Convert” to Christianity, thus losing the opportunity to achieve a real Christian society. Those sins were compounded by bringing in African Slaves to replace the decimated populations working the European Plantations.

The establishment of a Christian society did finally occur when a small group of English Christians landed in New England. Over time the English settlers in Eastern North America adopted the concept of religious freedom and went on to build the greatest Christian society on earth, the United States. And, despite all its failures, backsliding, and flaws, the United States, with its 250 million who claim to be Christians, remains the World’s most powerful beacon of the Christian Dream.

Christianity has also flourished in Latin America, thanks to revival and renewal from the Catholic Charismatics and the Evangelical Christians. Today Latin America is 92.5% Christian, the highest proportion of any continent. And the Catholic Church, in recognition of this fact, recently selected the Cardinal of Buenos Aires, Pope Francis, as its Leader.

As we have discussed in our book The Mystery of the Blood Moons, the Blood Moons are signs of revival and expansion of the Church. (See Acts 2:17-21)Today there are over 800 million Christians in the New World, a testimony to the evangelization of the New World launched by Columbus on his Blood Moon voyage of 1493.
In our time we are seeing signs of revival following the Blood Moon Tetrad of 2014-15, as the Pope from the New World has instituted a great wave of unity and reconciliation among Christians by sending a video reconciliation message to a group of pastors meeting with Kenneth Copeland. Since that time many American leaders have visited with the Pope in Rome as the Unity Revival has gained momentum. Let us pray that Christian Unity will cause a lost and dying world to believe our message, as Jesus prayed (John 17:22), and ask the Lord to pour out His Spirit in our time.
For more information on the Unity Revival and to view the Pope’s message to Kenneth Copeland, see the website www.unitedinchristinternational.com .
And may the fruit of the Blood Moon voyage of Christopher Columbus continue to grow.

Praying Through the Days of Awe

This Sunday, September 29, marks the Jewish Feast of Trumpets, also known as Rosh Hashanah, and the beginning of the holiest portion of the Jewish calendar known as the Days of Awe.

This year we have been responding to a call from God to pray through the 40 day Hebrew repentance season of Teshuvah which began August 30. For the first ten days, from August 30 to September 8 we prayed for personal repentance based on the literal meaning of Teshuvah as a return to the presence of God. From September 9 to September 18 we prayed for the unity of the Church, joining with the prayer of Jesus in John 17:20-23. Then, from September 19 to September 28 we prayed for the healing of our land, remembering that God’s people can bring healing if they humble themselves, pray, and seek his face (2 Chronicles 7:14).

The last ten days of Teshuvah begin with the feast of Trumpets, which prophetically represents the Day of the Lord, Christ’s Second Coming. These ten days are truly “Days of Awe” because they began with the awesome prophecy of the return of Jesus in the feast of Trumpets and end with the Day of Atonement, an awesome picture of God’s judgment. These ten days are the climax of our time to repent for the failures of ourselves, our churches, and our nation, and to return to the Presence of God.

The Days of Awe are also a time of release and the out pouring of God’s favor. It is during the days of awe that the Shemitah, the 7th year Jewish Sabbath rest for the land and release of debts, begins. During the Shemitah Years, Hebrews were forgiven from all debts. After 7 Shemitahs, or 49 years, the first year of the new 7 year Sabbath (the 50th year) was the Year of Jubilee when slaves were freed, debt was forgiven, and the land was returned to its original owners.

The Shemitah and the Year of Jubilee were used by Jesus to describe His ministry (See Luke 4:18-19 quoting Isaiah 61:1-2). Shemitah Years remind us that as we complete our Teshuvah Journey to return to God’s presence we can experience a “Year of the Lord’s Favor”.

So join us this year in praying in the Year of the Lord’s Favor.

• September 29: Feast of Trumpets, Isaiah 61:1-4 and Luke 4:19 – The Year of the Lord’s Favor begins.
• September 30: Proverbs 3:3-4 – Love and faithfulness bring favor with God and man.
• October 1: Leviticus 25:1-13 – The 7 year Sabbath and the Jubilee.
• October 2: Deuteronomy 15:1-18 – The 7 year release from debt and slavery.
• October 3: Deuteronomy 31:10-11 – Reading God’s word in Shemitah years
• October 4: Psalm 69:13-16 and Jeremiah 26:19 –God’s favor for protection
• October 5: 2 Chronicles 33:10-17 – God’s favor after repentance.
• October 6: Psalm 90:17 and 106:4-6 – God’s favor for success, prosperity, and joy.
• October 7: Nehemiah 1:11 and 2:5, Luke 1:30 – God’s favor for Destiny
• October 8: The Day of Atonement beginning at sunset: Isaiah 49:89 and 2 Corinthians 6:1-3 – Now is the time of God’s Favor.

Also be in prayer and consider attending the Kairos 2019 conference in Dallas, Texas on October 3-5, 2019, which will feature Kenneth Copeland, Lou Engle, Matteo Calisi, and many others seeking the Lord for unity and transformation during the Days of Awe. See the attached short video https://youtu.be/pw-bR54E1iQ and visit the Kairos2019.com website.

Let us pray through the Days of Awe for a Year of God’s Favor as we continue the Teshuvah journey of returning to God’s presence and seeking God’s face for unity and healing our land.

The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor. –Luke 4:18-19

Praying to Heal Our Land

Beginning with August 30, the first day of the Jewish repentance season of Teshuvah, we have been praying through the 40 days of Teshuvah.

For the first ten days we prayed for personal repentance in keeping with literal meaning of Teshuvah: to return to the presence of God. For the next ten days, we have prayed for Church unity, in accordance with the prayer of Jesus in John 17:20-23 that we be united in Him.

The unity Jesus prayed for was a purposeful unity, so that “The World will know that You sent me” (John 17:23). Yet there are five billion people in the world who do not know Christ. In America more and more people are adopting a secular hedonistic lifestyle, leading to the rise of an anti-Christian culture. The result is a plague of fatherlessness, bringing poverty and crime, and our national shame of 60 million abortions. Christian values and Christian faith are under attack in the Public Square, and the nation is bitterly divided politically. Now is the time for God’s people to unite and pray for the healing of our land.

It is clear that only God’s people can humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and repent to bring about healing of the land (2 Chronicles 7:14). The Church must repent of its division, coming into visible unity, so the world will know Christ. We must bless and not curse, turning on the light and partnering with God so we can fulfill our calling to be a blessing (1 Peter 3: 9). Christians should transcend politics to bring Christian principles back into both parties. And we must get out of our four walls to reach the needy with care for both their physical and spiritual needs.

Beginning with September 19 and continuing through September 28, we will pray for the restraint of evil and the healing of our land.
• September 19: Healing the land (2 Chron. 7:14)
• September 20: Blessings and curses (Deut. 28)
• September 21: Standing in the gap (Eze 22:30-31)
• September 22: Humility (Matt. 23:12)
• September 23: Bringing heaven to Earth (Matt. 6:10)
• September 24: Praying in confidence (1 John 5:14–15)
• September 25: Unity of the Believers so the world will know God sent Christ (John 17:23)
• September 26: Protection in God’s presence (Ps.27)
• September 27: Bless and curse not (1 Peter 3:9)
• September 28: Friends of God (John 15:14)

While we are praying to heal our land we can also remember the ministry and impact of Billy Graham as we celebrate the 70th anniversary of his historic Los Angles crusade which began on September 25, 1949. Graham called America to repentance during Teshuvah on the day after the Feast of Trumpets. Ultimately he preached to 100 million in person and 2 billion through media, bringing millions into the Kingdom of God. He was a champion of Church unity, founding the international Lausanne movement dedicated to “The whole church carrying the whole gospel to the whole nation – and to the world.” Be in prayer and consider attending the annual meeting of the Table Coalition, the U.S. Lausanne Affiliate, beginning on September 25 in Los Angeles. See (https://thetablecoalition.org/events-news/) for more details.

Also be in prayer and consider attending the Kairos 2019 conference in Dallas, Texas on October 3-5, 2019, which will feature Kenneth Copeland, Lou Engle, Matteo Calisi, and many others uniting in Christ to see the whole church carry the whole gospel to the whole nation. “Only a united Church can heal a divided nation” –Lou Engle

The 9/11 Prophecy

This week the nation remembers the anniversary of the terrorist attack of September 11, 2001.

We have been praying through the 40 day Jewish season of repentance, Teshuvah, which ends on Yom Kipper. As we move through the prayer journey we want to share a prophecy given in 1998 which warned us of the 9/11 catastrophe and launched the Teshuvah Prayer Initiative.

In the summer of 1998 a well-known prophet, Chuck Pierce, warned the Church to cleanse itself during a 40 day period corresponding to the Hebrew repentance season of Teshuvah, which ran from August 22, 1998 to September 30, 1998. He warned the Church of the coming rise of the Islamic spirit and the Spirit of Lawlessness in the U.S. He also warned that, if the Church did not repent and find God’s plan, it would be unable to stop the disaster which would come at the end three years.

On September 11, 1998 the special prosecutor appointed to review to the scandals of President Bill Clinton announced that the President had committed perjury about an affair with an intern, and committed other abuses of power. Instead of removing the President, as the Republicans had done when Nixon was caught lying, the Democrats lined up behind him. By doing so, they endorsed his lawlessness and released the Spirit of Lawlessness on the country. And the Church, divided by politics, made no effective response.

Exactly three years after the announcement by the special prosecutor, just as the prophet had said, a catastrophe hit the United States. The Islamic Spirit warned of in the prophecy rose up and killed 3000 Americans on September 11, 2001. Few understood the judgment that had fallen on America. Many politicians made a show of defiance by quoting from a scripture, Isaiah 9:10, about rebuilding bigger and better. What they failed to understand in their ignorance was that Isaiah 9:10 scripture was a condemnation of their attitude of defiance against God.

The 9/11 Prophecy came to our attention as we prepared to pray for repentance, unity, and healing the land during the Great American Eclipse of August 21, 2017, and the following days of the Teshuvah season. For more information get free download of our book Teshuvah Eclipses at (http://bit.ly/TeshuvahEclipses) This year we are again praying through the Teshuvah season, which ends with the Hebrew Day of Atonement on October 8.

It has been 21 years since the 9/11 Prophecy was given, but the threats of Islamic Extremism, American Lawlessness, and a rudderless church remain. We defeated an evil regime in Iraq only to see it replaced by ISIS terrorists, we are still at war with the Taliban after 18 years, and Iran is still exporting terror and trying to build a nuclear bomb. The Spirit of Lawlessness has manifested itself from the lowest street gang violence to the pinnacle of government power, with our drug laws, immigration laws, privacy laws, marriage laws, and constitutional rights openly disregarded. And the Church has not yet repented of following its own plans and not God’s as it was instructed to do in the 9/11 prophecy.
Many Christians thought that the election of Donald Trump would solve our problems, and we have seen some success against the Islamic Extremists and the lawless elements in our society and government. But he has only bought us time to find the real solutions. The real work of cleansing society and restoration of our foundations can only be done by the Church.

We have seen much damage to our country because we did not heed the 9/11 Prophesy. However, it is not too late to seek God for His plan for the Church in this hour.

Let us pray that it will be said of us that we “Will be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of paths to dwell in” (Isaiah 58:12)

Teshuvah Prayer For 2019

Two years ago on, August 21, 2017, the 40 day Jewish season of repentance, Teshuvah, began with the Great American Eclipse. We believe that the eclipse was a sign to begin praying for repentance and return to God during the Teshuvah season. You can receive a free download of our book about this sign in the Heavens, Teshuvah Eclipses, at https://www.dropbox.com/s/835gr2gnzg1labn/Teshuvah%20Eclipses.pdf?dl=0.

Teshuvah is a compound word consisting of the Hebrew Tashan, meaning “return,” and hey, the last letter of the JHVH name for God. The hey in JHVH represents the Shekinah, or manifest presence of God. Thus, Teshuvah is a time to return to the presence of God. It is also understood that returning to God is accompanied by repentance.

Teshuvah occurs during the forty days beginning the first day of the sixth month of the Jewish religious calendar and ending on the Day of Atonement, on the tenth day of the seventh month. Observant Jews have an understanding that this forty day period, and especially the last ten days between the Feast of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement, represent an opportunity to repent and avoid the judgment of God. For Christians, these forty days are an invitation to repent and enter into unity with God through the blood of Christ. However, for unbelievers, Teshuvah is a solemn warning of the judgment to come.

This duality of Teshuvah—as an invitation and a warning— is illustrated in two of the scriptures that are associated with it. Psalm 27 speaks to the benefits of living in God’s presence
and seeking His face. He will keep us in time of trouble and allow us to see His goodness while we live. In Ezekiel 33 the Lord commands us to warn the unbelievers to repent and save themselves from the judgment to come. We are also told that we must warn the righteous of their folly so they can repent, lest they suffer judgment. Thus, Teshuvah calls believers to
repent and come into God’s presence and also calls on us to evangelize a lost and dying world.

On August 21, 2017 a solemn assembly was held in Kansas City as the Eclipse passed over, but there was a heavy rain and all we saw was the darkness of the eclipse, which signifies God’s judgment (See Joel 2:1-2). This judgment was confirmed in prayer the next day as the word was given that “Judgements are Decreed.” The rainstorm brought flooding to Kansas city, and since that time we have seen worldwide events of record rainfall, flooding, ice storms, wildfire, and unsettled weather caused by decreased solar energy (See Job 37:6-13). We have seen the secret sins of powerful men exposed (See Proverbs 26:24-26), including abuse of women and children. Further, some of our highest government officials were found to have conspired to disrupt our free political process. We have also eaten the bitter fruit of our neglect of our young people, as more and more violence sweeps over our land.

As people or prayer we know that God sends judgement to bring righteousness (Isaiah 26:9). He is also gracious and compassionate and may relent from sending further calamity if we return to Him (Joel 2:12-14). Let us seek His face for repentance, and let it begin with us.

During the first to ten days of Teshuvah, from August 30 to September 8, we invite you to join with us in praying for personal repentance as we follow Jesus in His 40 day Teshuvah journey and learn to be victorious over sin by knowing who we are, having faith, practicing obedience, and loving God:

August 30 – Joel 2:12-14: Return to God
August 31 – Matthew 4:1-11 and John 14:30: The victorious 40-day Teshuvah Journey of Jesus.
September 1– Romans 8:12-15: We are Children of God
September 2 – Deuteronomy 8:1-5 and Matthew 4:4: Faith
September 3 – Romans 8:1, 2: No Condemnation for those in Christ
September 4 – Deuteronomy 6:17-26 and Matthew 4:7: Obedience
September 5 – 1 John 1:9: Forgiveness
September 6– Deuteronomy 6:4-15 and Matthew 4:10: Love God
September 7 – John 14:23: Love brings obedience and peace
September 8 – Ephesians 2:8-10: Make sure you have received salvation by grace to achieve your destiny.

“Even now,” declares the LORD, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting and weeping and mourning. Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in love, and He relents from sending calamity. Who knows? He may turn and relent and leave behind a blessing.” Joel 2:12-14

Dr. King Changes the Atmosphere

Next week marks the anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King’s monumental 1963 “I Have a Dream” speech in Washington DC.

In his speech, Dr. King reached back to the basic values of Americans, calling on the Nation to honor the promise of “Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” made in our Declaration of Independence. He looked forward to the day when segregation evaporated and people of different races could unite together as friends. And he expressed his vision of equality, where a person would be judged by the content of his character rather than his skin color.
Dr. King’s speech electrified the Nation. Within a few years the Civil Rights laws were enacted, ending legal segregation. More importantly, people began to see the ugliness of racism and the atmosphere of the country began to change. For most Americans, hatred and bigotry have been replaced by acceptance and tolerance. Opportunity opened up for minorities and a black man was finally elected president of the U.S. While pockets of bigotry remain in both black and white communities, most Americans share Dr. King’s dream of a color blind society.

The key to understanding Dr. King’s astonishing accomplishment is to understand who Dr. King really was. Dr. King lived his life as a Christian Pastor, committed to Christ and the Biblical way of living. While many called for violent revolution, Dr. King told his followers to take the non violent path and turn the other cheek like Christ did. He understood the power of blessing and not cursing his enemies, and in the end he won many of them over. By following his Christian principles, Dr. King changed the atmosphere of the Nation and won a great victory not only for his people, but for all people.

Sadly, today the lessons of love and tolerance championed by Dr. King seem to have been forgotten. Politicians try to drum up support by creating division. Recently the New York Times has told its reporters to push racial division as a way to defeat Donald Trump in the next election. The accusation of racism has been used so much it has lost all meaning, while real racists, both white and black, are determined to reverse Dr. King’s legacy. Our spiritual atmosphere is becoming toxic, and we are desperately in need of another Christian like Dr. King to change our atmosphere.

Instead of cursing the darkness, as many do, we should follow the path laid out by Christ and followed by Dr. King. Let us bless and not curse our enemies, seeking reconciliation and unity, and winning them over by love.

Let us dream with Dr. King
We can change our atmosphere if we do it God’s way.

The Curse of Slavery

Four hundred years ago, on August 20, 1619, the first African slave was brought to Virginia. Along with him came the curse of slavery.

The slave trade is as old as humanity, with African slaves being sold to Arab slavers long before Europeans appeared. The Europeans, however, took slave trading to a whole new level as they used Africans in the New World to replace the Native American populations who had been decimated by European diseases. By the time African slave trade had been brought to an end, almost 10 million Africans had been brought to the New World. Millions more died in the passage.

The curse of slavery fell hardest on Africa. The work of catching and selling slaves was done by local African kings and traders. In exchange they received European goods and weapons, enabling them to expand their power to catch more slaves. However, the incessant warfare depopulated and destabilized both victors and victims. Ultimately the African kings were subdued by the Europeans. Even today, much of the poverty in Africa can be traced back to the slave trade and its aftermath.

European slavers also suffered greatly from the slave trade. Since they had no immunity to African diseases, over half died in their first year in Africa and only 10% made it back alive. The slave ships took yellow fever and other African diseases to the New World, creating deadly disease zones in the jungles of Central and South America. Areas like the Amazon River Basin, which had supported large Native American populations, became virtually uninhabitable. Only in modern times has science rolled back the areas dominated by the deadly African diseases.

The Americans also fell prey to the curse of slavery as the institution undermined American values and then divided the country. The American Civil War was fought to end slavery, and one American died for each person left in slavery after the Revolution who was denied the benefit of the Declaration of Independence that all men were created equal. Even today, race relations remain strained because of the curse of slavery. Every so often we get a reminder of our past, as we have with the racial riots in Fergusson, and Baltimore, and white supremacist violence in Charleston.

Some have tried to use the Bible to support slavery, but they twist the Scriptures to do so. Slavery was a fact of life in the ancient world, but God established Israel with laws that forgave debts and gave liberty to slaves every 7 years. Our modern bankruptcy laws come from God’s debt forgiveness laws.

Slavery, like its modern cousins Socialism and Communism, is a manifestation of the Spirit of Money, or Mammon, which steals the labor of its victims. Make no mistake, God wants to see people set free from bondage.

Let us pray that the curse of slavery will be banished from our world. We must ask and give forgiveness so that God’s blessings can bring healing, and reverse the curse, so it may one day be said of us that” an undeserved curse does not come to rest” (Proverbs 26:2)
